Today  April 3rd at 3pm slt Holly Kai Park will be hosting quite a wonderful event:

Stories at the Park

a new series created in collaboration with Seanchai Library.

“Stories at the Park, presented live in Voice by Seanchai Library will coincide with the Art at the Park exhibitions at Holly Kai Park. Each month, members of Seanchai Library will select pieces of art by the artists participating in the current Art in the Park exhibition, and write either a 100-word work of fiction (referred to as a “drabble”) or a 100-word poem about each piece, which will be read live in Voice during Stories at the Park.”

“The first Stories at the Park session will take place on Sunday, April 3rd, from 3:00pm SLT at the stone gazebo located in the heart of Holly Kai Park’s hilltop art display area, and will feature stories and poems by Caledonia Skytower and Kayden Oconnell from Seanchai Library, based on pieces by our current Visiting Artists  Io Bechir, Goodcross, Hana Hoo, Mistero Hifeng and Sisse Singh.”

Holly Kai Park is a beautiful location with many Artists featured monthly.

I first visited Holly kai at their opening  in December 2015.

I love seeing the new art and getting exposed to new artists through their features.

The merging of poetry and storytelling with pieces of art is brilliant and I can’t wait to hear and see how this collaboration comes out.

There is a beautiful poem by  Kayden Oconnell with Hana Hoo‘s work in Inara Pey’s Blog Living In a Modemworld.

This series beginning at Holly Kai is quite inspirational and exciting.

I hope to find time to go listen today!
